In the last months, I've started to develop an intense interest in studying. It all started with bible study, but it also extended itself to the secular sphere. Part thanks to my (no so) recently discovered calling as a teacher, and part because of my new “pantheon” of heroes, all intellectuals (if you'll forgive my overstatement), I've started to feel a profo desire to unravel the secrets of the universe. I would say that the trigger of this trek was Rob Bryanton’s "Imagening the Tenth Dimension" video, that opened my eyes, forcing me to conceive new realities, as if my imagination expanded its own limits due to an overdrive-overdrive! So, I begun to search for more and more information about the fabric of reality! I could start to repair the breach that the Brazilian educational system allowed to happen (without excluding my guilt), allowing me to understand what molecules, atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons, quarks, the propagating of light, that acts as an electromagnetic wave, but has particle properties when emitted or intercepted. I was introduced to photons, anti-matter, quantum physics and string theory. Unfortunately, the more I studied, greater was my perception of the world's decay aero me. Few are those whom I can share this knowledge and fewer the ones willing to conceive these ideas. Worst of all: few are those capable of communicating on that level. The seas truth is the brazilian people’s inability to even speak (even so most of them feel like geniuses As I learn, my ignorance seems bigger, the way I have to go reveals itself to me as larger and larger on this wonderful journey I've just started. But today, I realized something that brought me great joy! I'd say I'm lucky (but ill say privileged as i don't believe the existence of a mystical chance-altering force that messes with the laws of probability) to have the mother, the brother, the father and (last but not least) the wife I do, not to mention many friends that, even with all my eccentricities, accepted me in their lifes. Intelligent, talented and industrious as they are, only by existing on the fivedimentinal path I chose to perceive (aka, my life), remember me of how much I have to grow intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and “tuttiquantilly”. In my vast ignorance, I've always thought that a bad side effect of knowledge was arrogance, but today I see that, the more I learn, the more I'm afflicted by humility, not only because the growing conception of the magnitude of what I do not know, but also due to my better understanding of my purpose inside reality’s own construction and the plan of God. Understand this as a declaration of platonic love to you, my dearest, closest friends and, consequently, an invitation to this one way “star trek” that I accidentally begun!
